Vienna-based creative practice Acute was commissioned to work on a rebranding for SERA—the Institute for Sustainable Energy and Resources Availability.

Acute is a Vienna, Austria-based creative practice founded by Isabella Thaller. They specialize in brand identities and visual communication across various media.

In 2019, Acute was commissioned to work on a new brand identity for SERA—the Institute for Sustainable Energy and Resources Availability. SERA works at the interface of research and public administration in the fields of energy efficiency, sustainable site development, climate change, and migration. Acute came up with a brand identity that conveys SERA’s scholarly background and competencies while feeling contemporary. They designed a simple yet characteristic logotype. The complete stationery system is printed on upcycled paper using organic produce waste. Acute was also asked to work on a suitable website redesign. Below you can see a few images of the project.
