Witty portraits with a touch of graphic sophistication.
The German artist made a name for himself due to his distinctive geometric portraits of women. He skillfully combines influences from Cubism with styles of modern computer graphics. In his witty yet precise oil paintings, he often loves to depict the weird or even awkward things of today’s society. His painting “Lotion Lady” from 2016 is a great example to underline this thesis. The painting of a half-naked blonde girl is a clear reference to today’s revealing selfie generation.
Each painting shows a great understanding of graphic composition. His mix of geometric forms and vivid colors invites the viewer for a longer inspection.
Below you can find a few more examples of his outstanding work or have a look at the website of Rachel Uffner Gallery to see more of his geometric portraits.
