Wild at Heart exhibit at the Bryan Ohno Gallery, Seattle with artworks by sculptor Travis Pond and ecologist-painter Adrianne Smits.
In anticipation of the Seattle Art Fair (7/30/15-8/2/15), the exhibit “Wild at Heart” will be on display at the Bryan Ohno Gallery (Seattle): featuring sculptor Travis Pond and ecologist-painter Adrianne Smits. Travis Pond and Adrianne Smits are working with different media, but both artists are captivated by our natural environment and our place among it. They create meditative art pieces, which immerse the viewer in the wildness of their subject matter. Smits’ paintings and Pond’s sculptures complement each other perfectly in this exhibition.
Adrianne Smits is an artist with a great passion for monumental landscapes. She spends a lot of time outside in nature, which affects the style of her paintings.
Sculptor Travis Pond lives and works in Portland, Oregon. His animal sculptures are mainly made of discarded metal scraps.
