French design studio Graphéine has been asked to work on the visual identity for Paris Sports Courses.
The modes of sports practice are subject to great changes, which are characterized by an increase in the number of disciplines with free access to urban space. Local authorities are wondering how they are able to support these trends. The Paris sports routes, validated as part of participatory budgeting, are designed to offer all residents easy and free access to sport.
Originally the project envisaged the creation of several courses. The first course on Boulevard Charonne between Rue d’Avron and Avenue Philippe Auguste opened in 2017. This sports trail includes a sports track, slides, climbing rocks, and numerous equipment along the route (strength training, cardio, and street workout areas).
Graphéine helped create the visual identity and signage for these courses. Unfortunately, this project, which was part of the offer for the 2024 Olympics, was abandoned after the Paris offer was selected.
