A graphic design, interior, and branding project inspired by the industrial style of craft workshops and pharmacy/drugstores from the beginning of the last century.

HUGMUN.STUDIO is a creative studio focusing on individual and pleasurable graphic design projects. They create visual identity systems, packaging, and illustrations.

In 2019, the studio was commissioned to work on a unique brand identity for PIÙ, a place combining hair, makeup, and a styling salon. The space draws inspiration from the industrial style of craft workshops as well as pharmacy/drugstores from the beginning of the last century. PiÙ is Italian and means “more”. For HUGMUN.STUDIO’s graphic designers “more” means an original approach to creativity, whether it is in design or styling. Please read more below the following image.

The brand identity is based on a hand-torn, raw ecological paper in a soothing, matcha-tea color. The paper feels very pleasant and it gives the identity a more natural touch. The look of good old machine typography completes the handwritten logo. Personalized, made to order, steel and reinforced glass furniture harmonize with the existing elements of the interior—wooden floor and bricks. The entire space is completed with surface-mounted installations and factory lamps. The studio focuses on natural care. Raw materials are complemented with plants and light that not only fill the main room but also surround it. For more of HUGMUN.STUDIO’s creative work, please visit their website.
