Chuck Tingley lives in Buffalo, NY, where he graduated with a BFA in painting at Buffalo State College. He is mainly working in mixed media on canvas as well as different materials and objects. The artist skillfully combines abstraction and figuration in order to create distinctly contemporary art. His paintings have been shown in both solo and group exhibitions. Chuck Tingley’s work can be found in private collections throughout the USA.
His current artworks reflect his personal memories, inspiration, and lust. He describes the process of painting as a way of stepping through the looking glass. In his art, the human body is his subject matter. He combines these figurative human shapes with fragments inspired by his dreams and memories.
