Surreal drawings with pencil on paper by artist Allan Bech.
Danish artist Allan Bech was born in 1983. Today he lives and works in the city of Copenhagen. His creative work is rooted in a variety of interests as well as inspirations from everyday life or supernatural things. His surreal pencil drawings are based on storytelling, propaganda, and investigation. He is bringing together the beauty of an object or a single moment with the odd, disturbing or ugly things. With his artworks, Allan Bech creates contrasts between different themes.
The Danish artist says his work is situated around the context of manhood, especially the one of his very own. He doesn’t like to think too much about his influences. That allows him to create his own perception in life.
He has participated in several group shows as well as solo shows around Denmark and the United Kingdom. The selected drawings are all made with pencils on various types of paper. You can find even more on Allan Bech’s website: allanbech.com
