In 2015, the Tour de France will depart from Utrecht, the Netherlands. This creates a great opportunity for the city of Utrecht to present themselves as a young, creative, and highly educated city in the center of The Netherlands. In addition, Utrecht is a cycling city by excellence, which makes it the ideal backdrop for the Tour to start. Therefore it is called UTRECHT2015 We All Cycle.
Total Identity, an Amsterdam based agency won the competition to develop a suitable event identity and adverstising campaign as well as composite logo for the Grand Départ Tour de France. Their main goal was to create a visual experience based “vitality” in order to represent the fresh forward thinking spirit of the city and the sporting event itself.
