Successful brand and package design by San Francisco based studio Manual for Pablo & Rusty’s.
The team of studio Manual was asked to help with the development of a suitable rebrand design for Pablo & Rusty’s, an award-winning small-batch coffee roastery located in Sydney, Australia. Their passion is to find the most aromatic coffee, roast it in the best possible way, and deliver it to their customers in one of the four stores.
Manual’s task was to develop a new brand identity, which better reflects the corporate strengths of this small business. The new brand solution draws inspiration from the core of their business – the typical coffee sacks with printed stencil letterings. They combined this style with a modern custom-drawn logotype. A restrained color palette as well as the simple use of typography allowed the coffee to remain the focus. This uniform design has been applied to all key retail and packaging elements.
