Born and raised in Colorado, Amelia Carley was surrounded by the expansive Western landscapes. She spent one year at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago until she transferred to the University of Colorado at Boulder, where she received BAs in Psychology and Italian as well as a BFA in Painting and Drawing. Over the past years, her work could be seen in numerous exhibitions including venues such as SOMArts in San Francisco CA, Hyperlink Gallery in Chicago IL, Colorado Photographic Arts Center in Denver CO, DATELINE Gallery in Denver CO, Curfman Gallery at Colorado State University in Fort Collins CO, among others. Furthermore, she’s currently a candidate in the MFA program at the Ernest G Welch School of Art and Design at Georgia State University, where she was awarded the Dean’s Scholarship.
