The artist was born in Mahon, the capital city of the Balearic Island Menorca in 1967. Today he lives and works in Ciutadella de Menorca. After studying at the art school La Massana in Barcelona, Josep Moncada decided to work exclusively as a visual artist.
The artworks are both sensual and seductive and offer a kind of subtle voyeurism. He likes to work with oil on canvas to create his beautiful paintings. With soft brush strokes, the artist creates images of scantily dressed or bathing women with a seemingly naive innocence.
