Halcom Font Family from The Northern Block Ltd

The Halcom font family, a new geometric typeface from The Northern Block Ltd.

Type designer Jonathan Hill of The Northern Block Ltd is well known for his very modern, clean, and geometric typeface releases. The Halcom font family fits seamlessly in this collection. It’s a modern sans serif that draws inspiration from geometric typefaces of the 1920s such as Futura or Avenir.

But Halcom’s design is not just a simple new interpretation of these typefaces. After some researches, Jonathan Hill developed a contemporary sans serif family based on both pure mathematics and optical correctness. This way, he designed a typefaces with a distinctively modern appearance and perfect legibility in all sizes and any media. The Halcom font family is equipped with 8 weights plus italics, 550 characters, alternative lowercases for the letters “a”, “g”, “y”, 5 variations of numerals as well as other OpenType features. The family is available on MyFonts as webfont and conventional desktop font. For addition information on this new typeface, feel free and follow the link below.
