The team of Will Bruder Architects recently completed the Blackbird house. This new contemporary home is located in Aspen, Colorado. It has been designed as an urban mountain retreat in a neighborhood of mid-century houses and apartments. On the one hand, the house provides a generous and very modern look with a dramatic presence, but on the other hand, its design respects the historic wood buildings of the 19th Century Victorian homes. Thanks to large window apertures, the Blackbird house offers amazing views of the mountains and its neighborhood in downtown Aspen.
Inside the house you can find nice interior finishes such as white diamond troweled plaster walls and ceilings as well as walnut floors or doors and cabinets of white rift sawn oak. This architectural concept combines rustic features with a contemporary and sophisticated lifestyle.
