Avenir Next World — the expansion of the renowned Avenir typeface that has been designed in 1988 by Adrian Frutiger.

Led by Monotype Type Director, Akira Kobayashi—who also worked alongside Adrian Frutiger to modernize and expand the original family into Avenir Next in 2012, the iconic typeface has been expanded once again to accommodate more languages. Published at the beginning of 2021, Avenir Next World covers 150 languages including all Latin-based characters as well as Cyrillic, Greek, Hebrew, Arabic, Georgian, Armenian, and even Thai writing systems. The respective 10 Italic styles do not support Arabic, Georgian and Thai, since Italic styles are unfamiliar in these scripts/languages. Avenir Next World contains 10 weights ranging from UltraLight to Heavy.
