Artist Robert Szot on view now in SoHo, NYC.
Based in Brooklyn, NY, American artist Robert Szot is known for his colorful, frenetic and lyrical abstract oil paintings on linen. A selection of both large oil paintings on linen and smaller artworks on paper are currently on display in the solo show ‘Then Again, Who Does?’ at Anita Rogers Gallery.
Kaleidoscopic in nature and rich with layers of depth and color, the paintings open up to the viewers over time, continually revealing more about themselves and the process of development. The artist’s aim is to communicate through the creation of various objects and shapes, which will never be repeated. Every artwork and every single part carries a unique message, a story told to the viewer over time as a reward for careful study.
Below you can find a small selection of paintings and installation views captured by photographer Jon-Paul Rodriguez. The show will run until October 12, 2019. For further information, just visit the gallery website.
