AKA JIMMY C – Short Visual Documentary

AKA JIMMY C, a short visual documentary focusing on the creative process and technique of artist James Cochran, aka Jimmy C.

Studio e&e has directed this short film as visual documentary about James Cochran’s artistic process and technique. In the early 1990s, James Cochran, also known as Jimmy C, gained reputation as one of the leading artists of the underground graffiti movement in Australia. After working on numerous mural commissions and community arts projects, he decided to complete a Masters degree in Visual Arts at the University of South Australia with focus on urban realist and figurative oil painting. James Cochran’s signature aerosol pointillist style results from his two interests in graffiti and oil painting. His distinctive portraits and urban landscapes are created entirely from blobs of spray paint.

Below you can see some stills and the final short film at the end of the post.
