The architecture firm Petr Janda I Brainwork was commissioned to work on a revitalization of the Prague riverfront area.
Prague’s riverfront, a public space of city-wide significance, underwent the first phase of a vast revitalization project designed by Petr Janda I Brainwork. Prague’s largest investment in public space in decades bears a great socio-cultural impact by activating various programs. This way, the riverfront experiences a cultural and social revival, and subsequently, an architectural rehabilitation. Focusing on the reconstruction of 20 vaults in the riverside walls, the project merges the interiors of the vaults with the exterior riverfront area, enabling a unique symbiosis of public space with the spinal cord of the city: the Vltava River.
