Moose Rd House.
Mork-Ulnes Architects is an internationally oriented company with offices in San Francisco and Oslo. Their architecture projects provide a combination of Scandinavian practicality and Northern California’s spirit of innovations.
Mork-Ulnes Architects was asked to design a house that frames three separate views of locally known land formations. Another challenge was to create an architecture, which preserves each of the existing oak trees. The studio designed a house consisting of 3 fingers constructed on steel stilts to avoid severing tree roots. Both externally and internally, the Moose Rd house impresses with simplicity and straightforward modern design.
