The Beachyhead residence, a luxurious dream house designed by SAOTA in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa.
Here comes another fine example of a sophisticated private home. Phillippe Fouché and Mias Claassens of SAOTA have been designed the Beachyhead residence. This luxurious dream house is located in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa. The side of the house towards the street looks almost “modest”. With living spaces concealed on the lower level, the entrance area leads directly to the heart of the home. The whole property is taking advantage of the breathtaking views with Robberg peninsula to the south-east and the Outeniqua Mountains in the distance towards the north. Feel free and read more below.
The basic concept of the house is characterized by two sections, where the southern part has been designed a little bit higher. This section also appears to be sliced off from the northern part. The opening extends vertically between these two sections. A pool on the lower terrace is connected to the main entertainment spaces. Large open transitions between indoor and outdoor spaces create an incomparable living experience. All interior spaces were designed in collaboration with the team of Cécile & Boyd.
