Eyes on visual artist Elisabeth McBrien.

Born in 1988 in Brattleboro, VT, Elisabeth McBrien received her BFA in painting from the Hartford Art School, CT in 2010 and her MFA in painting from the New York Academy of Art in 2014. Elisabeth’s oil paintings depict the personal relationships we share with our surroundings. Her work is based on the idea of that our identity is shaped by all the places we have visited. Her figurative paintings always preserve a beautifully composed simplicity. She’s mainly working with oil on canvases. Over the past years, her paintings could be seen in numerous group and solo shows. A small selection can be found below.
