Quercus – Desk Lamp Design by Max Ashford

Quercus, a stylish desk lamp design concept by Max Ashford for young professionals.

Max Ashford, a young product design student from the Falmouth University has created Quercus, a modern desk lamp design concept for young professionals and all design-oriented people. Quercus provides a sustainable, stylish, and functional design. The curved wooden stand is made from local oaks, which was steam bent into the tight curve, using only water over a damaging, high embodied energy method like laminating. For the lamp shade, Max Ashford used a wine bottle that he cut in half and frosted as to emit a warm and soft light.

His design concept combines simplicity and ingenious quality. This clean design is a stylish gadget and design accessory for the desk of any young professional. Below you can see some images of the Quercus desk lamp design concept. For more information about the lamp, check out Max Ashford’s website: www.maxashforddesign.co.uk
