Tenez, a vintage inspired display Didone typeface.
Look at this beauty! Its name is Tenez. Studio Plau originally designed it for a branding project, but later it has been extended into a full font family. Tenez is a purebred display Didone typeface that can solve many designers’ needs.
It has its origins in pointed nib calligraphy, which is quite typical for contemporary Didot and Bodoni inspired fonts. But the Tenez font family provides more organic shapes. The main influence for this beautiful typeface comes from late 19th century lettering, which could be found in good old billboard advertisement.
The diverse weights of the family ranging from Light to Black. A set of true italics for each weight makes the family complete. The italic versions provide a well-balanced counterpoint to the roman weights. As already mentioned, Tenez is a Didone typeface intended for the use as Display font. Its elegant style looks great in magazine openings or striking poster headlines. Almost all Latin based languages are supported.
