Art direction, creative direction, editorial design, print design, and web design by studio Forth + Back for Dreams of New York, a project that evolved out of a love affair with New York City.

Studio Forth + Back just shared with us their newest project called ‘Dreams of New York’In short, Dreams of New York is a coffee table book and website comprising photographs of NYC that have been taken through Google Earth over the last three years. They printed a small run of books, which are already sold out. However, they are currently in talks with a variety of publishers with the intention of getting them mass-produced. The clean and simple cover design is based on an edgy serif typeface without images.

The project evolved out of an ongoing love affair with NYC. By wandering through the streets via Google Earth, the people of studio Forth + Back eventually started to document the kind of strange frozen images of life. The project is a dream-like documentation of the streets and residents of New York City. The project has culminated into a 200-page coffee table book, as well as a website showcasing a selection of images.
