A Broken Book by Eren Saracevic about Yugoslavia

This book is a personal project by Eren Saracevic about Yugoslavia.

Eren Saracevic is an Art Director and Graphic Designer who currently lives and works in Barcelona. He suggested me to check out his latest personal project, it’s a visual essay about Yugoslavia, the country where he was born. The book is a reflection from the eyes of a tourist coming back to a disappeard homeland he never lived in.

Eren Saracevic completed this publication as a broken book, which symbolizes the broken country as well as all the broken realtionships, broken flags, broken landscapes, and broken dreams or hopes of all the multicultural people who lived together in Yugoslavia. The sad history of this country should remind us that the irreparable past of a place can become the future of another.
