Discover ‘Berayah’, a Hong Kong based fashion brand by designer Enoch Ho.
Berayah is a young fashion label that was founded in April 2013 by designer Enoch Ho. The brand name is a transliteration of the Hebraic word “Baraiah”, meaning “God has created.” Enoch Ho combines a conceptual approach to subtle Biblical inspirations with minimalism and comfort. Each collection seems to tell stories through unique and timeless styles. Berayah’s contemporary fashion is largely characterized by straight cuts with subtle colors and a feminine touch. To give you a glimpse of Berayah’s unique sense of aesthetic, I have selected a few examples of their current Spring/Summer 2016 collection. Titled “Stations”, this collection draws inspiration from a series of paintings by American artist Barnett Newman. During the 1950s, this master of abstract expressionism had created a series of paintings that would later be known as “The stations of the cross: Lema Sabachtani.” This Spring/Summer collection takes elements from Newman’s artworks, where his compositions are reinterpreted in the use of pleats, color-blocking, and seams. Enoch Ho skillfully uses garments as a canvas to recreate visual compositions. Please have a look at the shown garments below. I highly recommend you to visit Berayah’s official website to learn more about this unique fashion brand. Their beautiful garments are available for purchase in the shop section. Furthermore, you can follow Berayah on Facebook and Instagram.
