Be Sexy, Be Smart – animated campaign produced by Amsterdam based studio PlusOne for Soa Aids Nederland.
PlusOne is a design and animation studio based in Amsterdam. Their creative team was commissioned by Soa Aids Nederland to create an animated video for the “Be Sexy, Be Smart” campaign. This campaign aims to raise awareness about sexually transmitted infections and HIV among people living in the Netherlands from sub-Saharan Africa, Suriname, the Dutch Antilles and Aruba.
PlusOne produced a video based on colorful illustrations along with amazing animations as well as a tone-of-voice that avoids being patronizing. The hand-drawn graphics,illustrations, and fluent transitions are mostly inspired by African art, which is easy to relate to for the target audience.
