Balkan Floods – Cause.works Charity Project

Cause.works is a creative charity project to raise money for the affected victims of the Balkan floods.

Prompted by the recent catastrophic Balkan floods in Croatia, Serbia, and Bosnia, a group of young creatives has started an initiative called Cause.works that will create an online platform for DIY campaigns.

The project had its premiere on May 30, at the Dan D Festival in Zagreb, Croatia and it’s currently in its first phase. Some visual identity materials and t-shirts were created. All print products were made on a low-budget screen print process by hand. The used typeface is Balkan Sans by Marija Juza and Nikola Gjurek. The font designers donated the typeface for the use in the Cause.works project.

Further products such as t-shirts and posters will be created. The proceeds from the sale will go to various charities, to be used for the reconstruction of devastated areas caused by the floods.

They are currently working on a shop solution, which will be online in some days. After the inital phase, the creative team of young designers want to evolve to project to a travelling auction-exhibition and one-time magazine.
