An interactive souvenir experience created by Rare Volume for Samsung KX.
For the grand opening of Samsung KX, design and technology studio Rare Volume has been commissioned to create an interactive souvenir experience. Using the Galaxy S10, visitors are now able to turn their selfies into personalized artworks in order to print them as a custom poster. Samsung KX is a 20,000-square-foot showcase located in London’s Coal Drops Yard. The unique destination brings together local culture, brand innovation, and cutting-edge tech and art experiences. Feel free to read more about the project below.
“Custom software analyzes a visitor’s photograph, interpreting dominant colors against a library of imagery drawn from scenes of London. The interactive application composites color-coordinated graphic elements with the user’s portrait, responding to their gestures in realtime. The resulting experience provides visitors with an opportunity for creative freedom and exploration, leading to a personal, artistic image that stays true to the Samsung KX brand.”
