A contemporary residence in Carpinteria, California.
The team of Neumann Mendro Andrulaitis Architects has completed this beautiful residence in California. It’s a contemporary home with expansive operable glazed walls that provide a seamlessly open experience unto the panoramic views of coastline. The house is situated at the foothills of Carpinteria, a small oceanside city in southeastern Santa Barbara County, California. Glazed transparency along with rough sandstone walls characterize the house.
The client asked for an architectural design that offers a quiet place for living, art, and retreat. The brief was to design a house that includes a master suite, one guest room, a study for two, and an open living area. An additional guest house together with a pool and a pool house is located on a lower terrace.
A flat roof along with glazed walls as well as modern art and furniture design embody a sophisticated and trendy lifestyle. Only selected materials were used for the construction of the house. The European window and sliding door system minimizes the frames to allow an uninterrupted outlook.
