A handcrafted moon globe created by Michael Plichta of Planetenkugel Manufaktur.

Some of you may remember our feature of Planetenkugel Manufaktur’s mars globe back in 2016. Today it’s my pleasure to show you Michael Plichta’s latest creation, a hyper-realistic moon globe. The moon relief is based on latest NASA data. Made of stable artificial plaster, mounted on a noble classic wooden base, the globe is showing all details in a resolution of about 6.2 miles. Just check out the following video. Below you can find some images of the manufacturing process and the final result.
