Chen + Suchart Studio has completed the Yerger residence, a modern home located in Phoenix, Arizona.
To the east, the Yerger residence provides beautiful views towards Camelback Mountain. The entire house consists of an architectural cast-in-place concrete base coated with a weathered steel volume. The long entry sequence leads along a koi pond into the house. The center of this remarkable residence is characterized by a large negative edge pool and the patio. The main living area maintains an open plan configuration. All of the large glass doors can be slided completely away in order to offer an uninhibited view of Camelback Mountain.
The interior design of the Yerger residence juxtaposes high-quality materials along with raw industrial materials in order to create a refined contrast.
