EXPO, a series of minimalist photography taken by Paolo Pettigiani in the urban environment of Milan, Italy.
Paolo Pettigiani suggested me to check out his latest project for a possible feature on WE AND THE COLOR. EXPO is a photo series based on pure minimalism, where architectural shapes become a pretext for exploration of space. By freeing a certain range from the full picture, Paolo Pettigiani created an even more emotional focus on geometry, shadows, and colors. These certain ranges seem decontextualized from initial aesthetics and dematerialized by its own matter.
Paolo Pettigiani’s main goal of this photographic project was to capture simple geometric shapes, which seem completely decontextualize from the surrounding area. The photos were taken at the EXPO 2015 in Milan, Ialy. Paolo Pettigiani is an Italian freelance graphic designer and photographer who currently lives in Paris, France.
