Kapsimalis Architects is an architectural firm based in Santorini Greece. The studio’s architectural work is heavily influenced by the rough volcanic landscape, the intense alternations of the scenery, the diversity of the materials, the traditional architecture of the region, and the changeable weather conditions of the island. Led by Alexandros Kapsimalis and Marianna Kapsimali, each of their architectural projects is related to the natural surroundings. It is formed by the landscape in a harmonious or contrary way. The different requirements of each location influence the architectural solution in various ways and make every project totally unique. The architects say that they are interested in how buildings could become integral parts of the landscape and the following project is a fine example.
