Cove 3 is the name of this residential project completed in 2010 by a team of SAOTA (Stefan Antoni Olmesdahl Truen Architects), an award winning architectural firm based in Cape Town, South Africa. There task was to create a house for a Johannesburg based family that could be both a family residence as well as a holiday home.
The plot is situated in the cove development at Pezula Estate outside Knysna, South Africa. This location is characterized by spectacular sea views to the East and to the South. The architectural design provides a single living space in combination with a single roof element, which appears to float over it.
