A fresh new brand identity created by graphic design studio Futura for Hula Sayula, a beach bar in the village of Sayulita, Mexico.
Hula Sayula is a beach bar in the village of Sayulita, Mexico. Graphic design studio Futura was approached to create a brand identity that represents what life on the beach means to most people including color, sun, and the feeling of drying up after getting out of the water. The result is a visual experience that reminds us of the warmth of the sun, melting ice cream, the sweet and sticky of the fruits, simply everything that makes Sayulita a special place.
The branding concept is a reinterpretation of the tropical life in Sayulita. Futura’s designers used the visual effects that sunlight creates when reflecting on certain materials as a graphic resource—representing it with shiny, chewy effects. In addition, they used typefaces that evoke the feeling of being under the sun, along with photographs in saturated tones. Just have a look at the following images to see the beautiful result.
