Caserne is the name of a Montreal, Quebec, Canada based graphic design studio. At the end of the year they decided to work on a 2016 calendar design which is based on the local signage of Montreal’s fire stations.
Their goal was to combine a typographic approach with this firefighters look and feel. In addition, the 2016 calendar aims as a graphic work of self-promotion. The creative team imagined a piece mainly composed of a sampling of typefaces found on Montreal’s fire stations. The full print edition is limited to only 250 copies.
