Metrisch, a sans serif type family.

The Metrisch font family was designed by Gugum Gumpita Rahayu in 2013 for the Absolut Foundry. It’s a straigt and precise sans serif type family consisting of 6 weights ranging from Extra Light to Extra Bold plus matching Italics for each weight. The typeface is characterized by a geometric and sturdy look with taller x-heights and short descenders. Clear vertical cuts at the terminals and optimized sharp corners convey a smooth and modern appearance.

The Metrisch font family joins seamlessly the group of humanist and grotesk typefaces. All the diverse and legible weights work well for both display as well as text. It’s a great sans serif font for editorial use, striking headlines, websites, posters, contemporary branding projects, signage, and much more.

The Metrisch font family comes with numerous OpenType features such as stylistic alternates, case-sensitive forms, fractions, small capitals, super and subscript, tabular and oldstyle figures, and numerator-denominator.
