Heimat Didone, a high contrast serif font family.
Heimat Didone is a new member of the Heimat collection (also containing Heimat Sans, Heimat Mono, and Heimat Stencil) from Atlas Font Foundry. Type designer Christoph Dunst has created this new serif typeface in 2014. This neo-classical type family was made for professional typography. You can use it for both headlines and reading purposes in long texts. The family provides the feeling of a grid-based letter construction of the late 1920s mixed with a contemporary touch. In addition to Heimat Didone’s regular character set, the family is also equipped with an alternative character design that comes across as less suspenseful.
The Heimat Didone font family comprises 872 glyphs in 72 styles including 6 optical weights plus Italics. Besides the set of alternate glyphs, the family is equipped with several ligatures, lining figures (proportionally spaced and monospaced), hanging figures (proportionally spaced and monospaced), positive and negative circled figures for upper and lower case, fractions, superior and inferior, etc. Extensive language support and many more OpenType features make it a professional serif type family for individual needs.
