Drogheria Creativa has developed a unique brand identity for Baglioni Hotels, an Italian chain of exclusive 5-star hotels. Using a visual language based on a set of simple graphics and illustrations by Ottavia Marchesi, the art directors Luigi Durante and Eleonora Galeazzi have developed an identity that aims to emphasize the Italian way of life and a distinctive style of hospitality. The designers say a lot of inspiration came from typical Italian designs and architecture from the 1950s. Luigi Durante and Eleonora Galeazzi came up with various ideas by combining Ottavia Marchesi’s hand-made drawings with simple geometric shapes and colors. This way, they have created an array of ever-changing compositions. The result is a fresh and eye-catching style derived from the union between classic illustrations and contemporary graphic design.
