Galeana, a flat-sided sans serif font family with closed apertures.
The team of type foundry Latinotype just released another unique font family! Galeana has been designed by Jorge Alberto Martínez with the aim to create a reinterpretation of Latin American-flavored typefaces used for European editorial designs such as Plastique and Zembla magazines. The Galeana font family is based on a flat-sided sans serif typeface that features a closed aperture. This superfamily comprises 4 sub-families including Compressed, Condensed, Standard, and Extended. Learn more below or download the entire family as a heavily discounted introductory offer at MyFonts.
The Galeana font family consists of 48 styles. The big character set supports more than 200 Latin-based languages. The fonts perform well in mid-length text sections. They are well suited for headlines, editorial design, branding projects, advertising, social media, etc.
The heaviest and narrowest variants have been created at the early stage of the design process in order to resemble the slender trunks of the Galenas (African tulip trees). The other variants offer an extended width, which evokes the broad crown shape of these trees. For further information about all typographic features, just click on the link below. As already mentioned before, the complete family is currently available as an introductory offer at MyFonts.
