Kimmy Design’s Baker Street fonts, a type collection of 4 styles plus flourishes and swashes inspired by old English signage lettering.
The Baker Street fonts have been designed after Kimmy Kirkwood’s recent trip to London. Some old English signage lettering styles of a pub had attracted his eyes. After first sketches of ligatures and swashes, Kimmy Kirkwood started to work very focused on this typeface. The result is a family of four styles (Black, Oblique, Inline, Rough) plus two sets of flourishes and swashes. All styles work very well together. You can use them for festive invitations, signage, book covers or any typography work with a rustic touch.
The Baker Street family is equipped with numerous OpenType features including countless discretionary ligatures, which create connected letter pairs using varying flourishes. You can find these ligatures in diverse letter combinations such as capital pairs, between lowercases, some uppercase to lowercase pairs and also between specific numbers. Some uppercase and lowercase letters are equipped with large swashes on top and at the bottom of the characters. The Baker Street fonts also include a great set of alternate characters for a more natural look and feel. For additional information about all typographic features, just follow the link below.
