Nils Thomsen is a Hamburg, Germany based freelancer and typeface designer as well as founder of the Nils Types foundry. In 2013, he has created the Jabana font family. This extensive family comes with 5 widths (ranging from super compressed to extended letter shapes) in 4 weights. The Jabana font family provides smooth handwritten marker curves. You can use this display font for invitations, menus or signage – especially for coffee shops. In addition, Jabana is equipped with a wide range of OpenType features, alternates and extras such as numerous icons and arrows.
The whole character set supports all Western European languages. In addition, there is also ‘Jabana Alt‘. This alternate type family has standard uppercase proportions and a larger x-height for the lowercase letters. But that’s not all! With ‘Jabana Extras‘ you can get awesome specials such as arrows, banners, lines, ornaments, and web or coffee icons.
