House in Iporanga, Brazil by Nitsche Arquitetos Associados

The Sophisticated Architecture of a House in Iporanga, Brazil.

Nitsche Arquitetos Associados designed this beautiful house located in Iporanga, approximately 120km east from São Paulo, Brazil. Due to its beautiful location on the coast, the area is well known for beautiful summer houses.

This house is situated inside a protected area of the Atlantic Rainforest. Inspired by the natural charm of this rainforest, the client asked for a house, which occupies as little as possible of the native forest. At the same time, he wanted a house that is big and comfortable. The house includes 5 suites, one for the parents and one for each of the 3 sons as well as one for guests. The team of Nitsche Arquitetos Associados decided to split the house in 3 levels with all 5 suites on the upper level. A wood frame structure forms the private part, which is enclosed by opaque boards and glass panels along with a nylon curtain on the street side. Sliding doors opening the rooms to a veranda on the forest side.

The social part of this beautiful home is an almost open area, protected on all sides by transparent temperate glass sliding panels. Nitsche Arquitetos Associados’s structural concept is inspired by small brook bridges, which are typical for this region.
