The Foro Slab Serif Font Family.
Foro is a slab serif font family from Hoftype. This typeface is strong but less harsh than many other slab serifs. German font designer Dieter Hofrichter wanted to develop a serif font family with an attachment to typical humanistic shapes. The complete Foro font family consists of 16 styles (ranging from Thin to Black) including corresponding italics. Strength renders and a skillful kerning ensure good readability also in small text sizes. Foro’s distinctive typeface design is also a great advantage in display sizes.
The numerous OpenType features contain standard ligatures, proportional lining figures, tabular lining figures, proportional old style figures, lining old style figures, matching currency symbols, fraction- and scientific numerals and arrows. Foro’s character set supports Western European, Central and Eastern European languages.
