Abelina, a calligraphic script typeface for display use.

Abelina‘ originally started out as a typographic project designed by Yanina Arabena and tutored by Ale Paul as well as Ana Sanfelippo at the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina. It’s a calligraphic script typeface with a pleasant feel of handwriting. Abelina can be used for headlines and titles in large display sizes.

First writing sketches with a pointed brush resulted in a typeface structure based on italic calligraphic letters. Guillermo Vizzari worked together with Ale Paul from Sudtipos to expand the font with more glyphs and typographic options such as different alternates, ligatures, initials and miscellaneous. They created a calligraphic script typeface that provides a dynamic rhythm in the composition of titles and short texts. You can get this font in two styles: Abelina Pro and Abelina Redux. Both are available as web font and desktop font.
