MoMA Design Store presents The Skateroom at the luxurious Delano property during Art Basel Miami Beach.
During the week of Art Basel Miami Beach, the MoMA Design Store in collaboration with The Skateroom proudly present their first-ever installation and pop up at Delano South Beach. Located nearby the main Art Basel tent, the luxurious Delano property will unveil an amazing installation and pop-up shop with a limited collection of skateboard decks featuring famous artworks by Andy Warhol. The decks were made in collaboration with The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts.
These iconic skateboard decks will be displayed from November 30 to December 6, 2015. In addition, they will be available for purchase in a limited edition. The collection includes a set of 32 unique decks featuring Andy Warhol’s 32 Campbell’s Soup Cans as well as a set of 8 decks with the pop icon Colored Campbell’s Soup Cans, and triptychs with Gold Marilyn Monroe, Guns, Car Crash, Self Portrait and Detail of the Last Supper.
In order to celebrate this great event, Delano South Beach will host a private party for the MoMA Design Store and The Skateroom installation and pop-up shop the evening of Wednesday, December 2nd, 8:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. At this point I want to say: Thanks for my invitation!
