The internet is full of creativity and inspiration. Therefore it’s no surprise that there are also a large number of platforms, which exhibit all this creative stuff. In addition to web portfolios there are countless design blogs and online magazines. This also includes WE AND THE COLOR, but there are a lot more of great blogs you should know. That’s why I want to take the time to tell you about my favorites among the best design blogs and online magazines.
At first I would like to introduce my own blog ‘WE AND THE COLOR’. Please do not mistake this as shameless self-promotion, more as an explanation as to how and why I started this project. WE AND THE COLOR was founded in May 2010 as a Tumblr blog. My intention was to present outstanding work in the fields of design, art, photography, architecture and other creative domains. It was always important to me that the artists, designers or agencies benefit from having their work showcased on WE AND THE COLOR. Therefore the authors are always clearly identified and linked if possible. WE AND THE COLOR quickly gained many followers and after some time I decided to run it as a self-hosted art and design blog. That gave me the opportunity to write more detailed posts. The tumblr blog is still active and works as a brief summary of all posts. Only outstanding work will be featured on WE AND THE COLOR. Not quantity, but quality is our guiding principle. This high bench-mark for successful designs and artworks displayed on our site is greatly appreciated by our readers.
