Currently represented by Levine/Leavitt, James Day is an internationally renowned photographer working in the advertising and editorial fields. His latest personal project is a series of photographic still lives featuring electronic appliances created by the renowned German designer, Dieter Rams. These iconic designs for Braun and those of the Braun design team that worked under his direction are celebrated in this new series of conceptual photographs. Art Director Gem Fletcher and set designer Kei Yoshino worked alongside James for the 8 weeks that it took to plan, build, and finalize this personal project. The debut of the photo series also coincides with the debut of ‘Rams’, a new documentary by director Gary Hustwit on the influential designer.
