Aerial Abstracts – Discover Zack Seckler’s otherworldly views of Iceland’s coastal landscapes.
Iceland is known for its surreal, seemingly otherworldly landscapes. Formed by storm and icy temperatures as well as volcanic and geothermal activities, this Nordic island country between the North Atlantic and the Arctic Ocean is a unique and fascinating place by land and by sea. During a recent trip to Iceland, American photographer Zack Seckler had the opportunity to capture breathtaking shots of Iceland’s incomparable maritime landscape. Aboard a small propeller plane (which was built by the pilot himself), the photographer managed to take a wide range of outstanding aerial shots. Zack Seckler has captured glacial meltwater flowing over black sand, big waves crashing against beaches, river deltas with seals and Icelandic birds flying over a volcanic sand bar. Some of the images look as if they were taken on another planet. Find more information below the first image.
The series of Iceland aerial photographs celebrates the breathtaking nature of this large northern island. Below you can see a few more examples.
