The team of Dualchas Architects has completed the Tigh Port na Long house. This home is a remarkable piece of contemporary architecture, which is surrounded by the rough and yet beautiful nature of the Isle of Skye in Scotland.
The location on the rugged coast conveys “a sense of the end of the world”. The design of the house is based on two forms, which are connected by a few steps. This construction allows additional height to the main living space. The residents can enjoy views on 3 sides. A terrace from the kitchen is illuminated by the morning light, while the terrace from the dining space offers some afternoon light and a terrace placed at the main bedroom captures the soothing evening light.
